March Madness is no big deal in the Middle East. Because they also have April Madness, May Madness, June Madness, and More. {Courtesy: Leno)

Can anyone please explain to me why almost 100% of the attention in Japan is going to the problems at nuclear facilities when there are estimates that deaths will exceed 10,000 and over 1/2 million people are homeless? (CNN's coverage has almost exclusively been the nuclear reactors) Even the nuclear disasters at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl combined resulted in less than 60 people dying. For God's sake--entire towns have been wiped out along with all of their inhabitants.

Memo to Pres. Obama: Are you that detached from most things or does it just appear that way?

Already, a number of European news media are asking the question: Is Obama the weakest pressident in U.S. history? I think it's much to early to tell. But I do believe he's well on his way.

Having said that, I don't think it's fair criticizing him for anything to do with the Japan catastrophe. I think the U.S. has been responding quite well with humanitarian assistance as we always do. But, the his response to what is going on in the Middle East and to our buget challenges, as well as jobs creation--not good.

The U.N. passed a resolution to start a "No Fly Zone" over Libya, something the Libyan rebels have been requesting for some weeks now. You can be sure it will involve several aircraft from Britain and France and the rest will be from the U.S.

You might recall the story about Amtrak's plans to name a stations after Slo Joe Biden considering Amtrak received millions in stimulus money. Well, the cost of the station is almost $6 million over-budget.

From "The Gee What A Friggin Surprise File"--Democrats in Michigan have been charged in forging fake Tea Party election documents.

"From The Mouths of Lunatics"-- Sen. Harry Reid said the Tea Party will be short lived.

From "The Recession Is Over File"--CNBC is reporting the U.S. cost-of-living has hit a record.

The Barack Obama Elementary School in Asbury Park, NJ, has been ordered closed by the NJ Dept. of Education due to falling enrollment as reported by the Asbury Park Press. Mm-Mm-Mm......

While in Central Park the other day, Letterman said he observed a lady feeding squirrels---to her pit bull.

And from my favorite publication, The Onion: "Nuclear Energy Advocates Insist U.S. Reactors Completely Safe Unless Something Bad Happens."
