O'Donnell's Dumb Ass Quote of the Week; Can Someone Please Tell The White House To Shut The F^ck Up; Middle-Class Hurting; Housing Market Worse Than in 2008; Amnesy, It's Back!

The unemployment rate went up for the first time since November. But on the bright side, I hear there's a senior management position that just opened up at al-Qaeda--Fallon.

  • First the good news: bin-Laden has been dead now for 9 days.
  • Lesson: One good decision does not make a presidency.
  • Dumb Ass Quote of the Week goes to Rosie O'Donnell. She actually said, "You can be upset about the fact that {bin Laden} didn't have due process, that he didn't get tried." How did this nitwit ever have a hit TV show anyway?
  • How much more intelligence information is the White House going to shout about? As Peter Brooke's said so well this week, "Our government is saying way too much about them {the details of what they found in bin-Laden's compound}, tipping off al Qaeda and clueing in the bad guys."
  • In an earlier post, I was joking that terrorist thugs who get whacked should ensure they bring along a lot of Cialis when they meet their 72 virgins. Well, it looks like bin-Laden was taking my advice. One of the things found in his house was a bottle of Avena syrup, an extract of wild oats sold as a natural, "Viagra." I wonder if he took any of it with him.
  • "Recession is Over News": In today's USA Today they report on the hunger of the middle-class in America {"Middle-Class and Hungry in Post-Recession USA"}. 44 million people--half of them children-- or one in seven are currently enrolled in government safety net programs such as food stamps. Food banks fed 37 million up 46% from 2006.
  • Home values fell 3% in the first quarter of this year--a decline we have not seen since 2008 when the bottom fell out of the housing market.
  • Wow! House Speaker Boehner actually found a microphone to talk into yesterday. He said he's going for trillions in cuts, not billions.
  • Have you noticed lines at most banks are just as bad as the lines at the Post Office.
  • With all of the news about bin-Laden last week, you might have missed other important news. It appears the White House is making plans for immigration legislation. In other words, making plans for amnesty.
  • In the "How Nice" file. First Lady Michelle will be having a poetry reading at the White House tomorrow. And who is one of the poets invited? A poet/rapper by the name of Common who likes to write about shooting cops and burning Pres. Bush.
  • Do you remember all of the controversy about the tour buses and their drivers last month? Many of them should never have been put behind the wheel of a bumper car let alone a tour bus. Well, a tour bus driver led the NYPD on a high-speed chase--in his friggin bus--yesterday. He was caught (did this dummy actually think the police could not catch a bus?). His license had been suspended---get out the duct tape folks---16 times! Another bus driver was arrested a few days earlier for mowing down and killing a pedestrian. When he was caught, he had a travel mug filled with booze next to his seat.
